The Absence of Eden

The official trailer for Roadside Sights’ latest thriller drama The Absence of Eden has been launched, that includes Marvel vet Zoe Saldaña as a girl making an attempt to run away from Mexico to the USA after killing a cartel member in self-defense. The movie is slated to reach in theaters on April 12.

“The movie takes place on the border between the USA and Mexico – a hellish panorama inhabited by coyotes, armed officers, determined immigrants, and refugees,” reads the synopsis. “When Esmee (Saldaña), a younger girl working as a personal dancer in Mexico, is compelled to commit a violent act of self-defense that leads to the dying of a cartel member, she flees her homeland for sanctuary in the USA. Guided by a ruthless Coyote and a bunch of undocumented immigrants, she befriends a younger mom and her daughter alongside the way in which. Earlier than crossing the border, the mom is taken from the group, and Esmee guarantees to guard her daughter and assist them reunite once more in America, touching off an interlocking story about individuals struggling to outlive on America’s border with Mexico.”

The Absence of Eden is directed and produced by Marco Perego from a screenplay he co-wrote with Rick Rapoza. Becoming a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy vet are Garrett Hedlund (Tron: Legacy), Adria Arjona (Andor) and Tom Waits (Licorice Pizza), Chris Coy (The Deuce), Morningstar Angeline (Echo) and extra. The movie is produced by Saldaña, Karl Herrmann, Robert Kravis, Alexandra Milchan ,Julie Yorn and Rick Yorn, with Oscar-winning filmmaker Martin Scorsese signing on to function an govt producer on the mission.
