SNL Pokes Fun at ’80s Hair Metal with “Sex Rock” Sketch: Watch

Saturday Evening Stay had some enjoyable at hair metallic’s expense final evening (November ninth). A sketch known as “Intercourse Rock CD” featured the episode’s host, comic Invoice Burr, eager for the times of “rockin’ tunes about dwelling quick, dying younger, and doing intercourse.”

Within the skit, Burr performs a father engaged on his motorbike within the storage when his teenage son (performed by new SNL solid member Emil Wakim) walks in and is blown away by the guitar rock his dad is listening to, exclaiming, “Whoa, what’s this music? I’ve by no means heard something like this earlier than.”

“That is actual music, from after I was rising up,” responds Burr’s character. “No auto-tune, no mumble rap, simply musicians.” The son then asks, “What was it known as?,” with the dad answering, “’80s intercourse rock!”

From there, the daddy introduces his son to the “greatest” of these bands, Snake Pores and skin, and the brand new compilation CD, The Better of Snake Pores and skin: Kings of Intercourse Rock.

That’s once we get to see Snake Pores and skin in motion, performed by solid members Andrew Dismukes (lead vocals), Sarah Sherman (bass), and James Austin Johnson (guitar). They carry out songs like “Nah-Nah Practice,” a nod to Ozzy Osbourne’s “Loopy Practice,” however with suggestive lyrics like, “Your nah-nah is a practice/ And I’m the passenger/ Gonna journey your nah-nah/ It’s a bumpy journey/ Aboard your nah-nah.”

Different songs included “Havin’ Intercourse on an Escalator (Intercourse-Scalator)” and “Tear It Down,” a lot to the chagrin of the son, who tells his father, “Wow, dad, that sucked!”

From there, the dad begins to rethink his style in music, however not earlier than selling The Better of Snake Pores and skin once more.
