Francis Ford Coppola has launched the teaser trailer for his upcoming epic Megalopolis.

โ€œOur new movie Megaloplis is the perfect work Iโ€™ve ever had the privilege to preside over,โ€ Coppola writes in a press release hooked up to the trailer. The bold footage encompasses a decaying metropolis, falling Roman statues, and chariot races on this reimagined Trendy America.

What to Count on in Megalopolis?

The official synopsis reads: โ€œThe Metropolis of New Rome should change, inflicting battle between Cesar Catilina (Adam Driver), a genius artist who seeks to leap right into a utopian, idealistic future, and his opposition, Mayor Franklyn Cicero (Giancarlo Esposito), who stays dedicated to a regressive established order, perpetuating greed, particular pursuits, and partisan warfare. Torn between them is socialite Julia Cicero (Nathalie Emmanuel), the mayorโ€™s daughter, whose love for Cesar has divided her loyalties, forcing her to find what she really believes humanity deserves.โ€
