Filmmakers from Convey Them Down, The Ceremony and Tuesday characteristic prominently on the filmmaker new expertise longlists for the 2024 British Impartial Movie Awards (Bifas).
Convey Them Down’s Christopher Andrews is longlisted for the Douglas Hickox Award for greatest debut director and the perfect debut screenwriter award, whereas the movie’s debut producer Jacob Swan Hyam is longlisted for breakthrough producer.

The Ceremony repeats that trio for writer-director Jack King and producers Hollie Bryan and Lucy Meer; as does Tuesday for writer-director Daina O Pusic and producer Helen Gladders.
4 filmmaker new expertise longlists have been unveiled at the moment – the three aforementioned lists and the perfect debut director – characteristic documentary checklist.
Ten movies have been chosen on two of the 4 lists, together with Luna Carmoon’s Hoard, with Carmoon listed for debut director and screenwriter; Sandhya Suri’s Santosh, with Suri chosen in screenwriter and Balthazar de Ganay and James Bowsher chosen in breakthrough producer; and Grand Theft Hamlet, with Pinny Grylls and Sam Crane chosen within the characteristic documentary director part and Rebecca Wolff in breakthrough producer.
With yesterday’s breakthrough efficiency longlist that includes all three principal actors, Wealthy Peppiatt’s Kneecap now has probably the most longlist spots with 5, together with director and screenwriter for Peppiatt at the moment.
Andrews, Gladders, Carmoon, Suri and Bowsher have all beforehand been named Display screen Stars of Tomorrow, as has Layla’s Amrou Al-Kadhi, longlisted for debut director.
